TCCR x CROK Robot Combat Event

Tulsa Community Combat Robotics (TCCR), a student organization at Tulsa Community College, is back and ready to bring the chaos to this year’s Tulsa Maker Faire with an epic Robot Combat Event! We're teaming up with CROK – Combat Robotics of Oklahoma – to make this the biggest, baddest showdown yet. Expect high-octane action as custom-built RC robots with flippers, spinners, wedges, and saws go head-to-head in an all-out battle for robotic dominance. This event features 1lb and 1lb Plastic weight classes, where bots are built to smash, flip, and shred—aiming to disable their opponents in three minutes or less! Whether you're a fan, a maker, or a future builder, you won’t want to miss this. Let the sparks fly!

Na našem stánku se budete moct podívat na proces výroby samolepek od nakreslení podkladů, přes scan, digitální úpravu, vytištění a vyřezání na plotru. Také zde budeme předvádět výrobu zápisníku s koptskou vazbou, kde pro jednodušší výrobu používáme 3D tištěné nástroje. Jak samolepky, tak zápisníky si u nás lze také zakoupit.

Oobleck is a non-newtonian fluid. That is, it acts like a liquid when sitting still, but acts like a solid when a force is acting on it (strained). Oobleck gets its name from the Dr. Seuss book Bartholomew and the Oobleck where a gooey green substance, Oobleck, fell from the sky and wreaked havoc in the kingdom. Here the Oobleck will be made from corn starch and water on top of a speaker. You may have already made Oobleck at home or in school. If you touch it slowly it seems like a liquid, touch if fast and it feels like a solid. Here you get to control the excitation (strain into the Oobleck) using Frequency and Amplitude knobs. If you get the frequency and amplitude set just right, you will get to watch the Oobleck dance or grow Alien shapes. If you touch the dancing peaks quickly the liquid will feel like rubber, keep touching it and… you will get Oobleck on you fingers. Don't worry, we have hand wipes when you're done.
