Připravíme dílničky, kde si vlastnoručně vytvoří drobné dekorace nebo doplňky z běžně vyřazených materiálů, jako jsou stará trička, knihy či noviny, knoflíky po babičce nebo zavařovací sklenice. Součástí stánku bude také swapový koutek s oblečením, hračkami a drobnostmi do domácnosti, kde si lidé mohou věci vyměnit a dát jim nový život. Zapojit se mohou děti i dospělí – každý si odnese vlastnoručně vyrobený originál i inspiraci, jak jednoduše a zábavně tvořit nebo přemýšlet o ekologii v každodenním životě.

Fruit and vegetable waste, often exceeding 60%, represents a valuable source of bioactive compounds. This project explores an eco-friendly extraction strategy using Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents (NADES) to recover phenolic compounds from red apple by-products. Optimized methods target anthocyanins, dihydrochalcones, and flavonols, assessing their cytotoxic, antiproliferative, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties. Bioassay-guided fractionation and chemical profiling will identify the active molecules, promoting sustainable, high-value applications within a circular economy framework.

KYYA Chocolate is a manufacturer and retailer of all things chocolate since late 2012. You can say that KYYA was created in the Fablab. Early on, we were designing our first mold and ended up using the small Epilog CNC lasers to "etch" a master mold that we used to create working molds for our thermoformer. We also use the Shopbot to design all of our outdoor signage, including the design of our new sign for our new location at 5400 SW Regional Airport Blvd. Bentonville, AR 72713. We started making coffeehouse syrups and sauces around 10 years ago and the FabLab is our place to create engineering mockups and lately customized packaging for small runs. The Lab is ~2 hours away from us now, but we love the FabLab so much we have a brick at the entrance to the new building.

Custom 5-DOF Robotic Arm (Designed by a 9th Grader) This five-degree-of-freedom robotic arm was engineered entirely from scratch. The base rotation turret features a custom bearing assembly driven by a NEMA 23 stepper motor for high torque. - Axis 2 utilizes a NEMA 17 motor with a 16:60 belt-driven gear ratio for torque also. - Axis 3 is powered by another NEMA 17, dedicated to rotation. - Axis 4 introduces an angular joint mechanism, also actuated by a NEMA 17, enabling complex wrist-like movements. - Axis 5 provides another rotating motion, completing the arm's full range of motion. To print all the materials for my projects and exhibitions, I always prefer the Core One. It's fast, reliable, and more heavy-duty for materials like ASA, ABS, and CF. This project has all parts printed using a sponsored Prusa Core One. The filament I used was Overture ASA (sponsored as well).
