Co představíme na Maker Faire Jsme rodinná kovářská dílna z Vizovic a na Maker Faire přivezeme naši mobilní dílnu „Kovář z pohádky“ – místo, kde si každý může vyzkoušet, jaké to je být kovářem. Jak se mohou návštěvníci zapojit ✨ Děti i dospělí si sami vykovají malý výrobek (hřebík, přívěsek, klíčenku či nožík). ✨ Vyzkouší si celý proces – od práce s kladivem přes broušení, vrtání až po finální úpravu. ✨ Pro nejmenší máme pohádkovou atmosféru: kovářský měch, dobové pláště k zapůjčení na focení i vyprávění o řemesle. Proč to děláme Naším cílem není prodej, ale zážitek. Chceme lidem ukázat, že i železo se dá proměnit v krásu, a že řemeslo může bavit stejně jako pohádka.

Custom 5-DOF Robotic Arm (Designed by a 9th Grader) This five-degree-of-freedom robotic arm was engineered entirely from scratch. The base rotation turret features a custom bearing assembly driven by a NEMA 23 stepper motor for high torque. - Axis 2 utilizes a NEMA 17 motor with a 16:60 belt-driven gear ratio for torque also. - Axis 3 is powered by another NEMA 17, dedicated to rotation. - Axis 4 introduces an angular joint mechanism, also actuated by a NEMA 17, enabling complex wrist-like movements. - Axis 5 provides another rotating motion, completing the arm's full range of motion. To print all the materials for my projects and exhibitions, I always prefer the Core One. It's fast, reliable, and more heavy-duty for materials like ASA, ABS, and CF. This project has all parts printed using a sponsored Prusa Core One. The filament I used was Overture ASA (sponsored as well).

The "Realistic Spiky Toys" project is a creative initiative aimed at creating unique knitted toys that are as close as possible to real animals and characters. Each toy is made by hand with spokes using high-quality yarn, which ensures the natural appearance, pleasant texture, and durability of the items. The main emphasis of the project is on anatomically accurate shape, realistic proportions, and delicate elaboration of details: beaks, paws, hair, and even facial expressions. Toys can be used as: Handmade gifts Educational materials for children Collectible handmade items for appreciators The project also includes the development of own author's diagrams and master classes, which makes it interesting for both buyers and beginner weavers.

The Spoon House 2.2

The Spoon House 2.2 is an update and expansion of last year's installation. This year's Spoon House is still a 20'x10', 2-room structure that utilizes approximately 4500 spoons arranged in free-hanging strands of spoons connected with split rings to form walls and roof, and hundreds more additional spoons that decorate the many pieces of "spooniture" and other decor. A window of clear space is framed by metal pipe in one wall with spoon curtains around it, and doorways of clear space allow visitors to walk through the house. Two "spoondeliers" hang from the ceiling of the structure, and spoon-decorated furniture inside both rooms welcomes visitors to sit, rest, contemplate and converse. New items in this year's expansion include spoon garden landscaping, an interactive spoon mailbox outside the house, a spoon bookshelf with topical reading material, and several "spoonstruments" to play on/with inside the house. The Spoon House is intended to give visitors a place to sit and contemplate Spoon Theory* and what it might feel like to be in an environment where you have all the spoons you could ever possibly need. This particular piece has been slowly evolving over the years with new things added each time it is installed. Maybe someday it will be a Spoon Mansion! *Spoon Theory, created by Christine Miserandino, is a metaphor that has been used by the disability community and others to represent ideas about energy: having it, running out of it, conserving it, spending or rationing it, and so on. (A “ spoon” in this metaphor just refers to a unit of energy.)
