The Wayne County Historical Society is celebrating their 175 year anniversary. In celebration we have an extensive research display of the Compton's family from Wooster. All the children graduated from Wooster High School and the University of Wooster. Arthur Compton was the architect of the "Manhattan Project." The other three children were also accomplished scientists and humanitarians and provided many good deeds across the world. Our site display is currently open through December of 2025.

We have sewing machines, knowledgeable volunteers, and diverse activities designed to encourage participants to think locally and impact globally with their textile waste. We will be accepting donations of CLEAN clothes and sewing supplies at the event. Donations are not required to participate just a creative urge. As always PLEASE NO SHOES!
