It is the philosophy that guides our educational/informative project, aimed at demonstrating that the knowledge about electronic technologies and digital signal processing techniques may allow us to transform a banal balloon into an aerostat with unexpected sensory capabilities.

California State University Maritime Academy Student Projects Exhibit

California State University Maritime Academy (Cal Maritime) is one of the 23 CSU campuses. Located in Vallejo, CA, Cal Maritime is one of seven degree-granting maritime academies in the United States — and the only one on the West Coast. The university has undergraduate degree programs in Business Administration, Facilities Engineering Technology, International Strategy and Security, Marine Engineering Technology, Marine Transportation, Mechanical Engineering, and Oceanography. The exhibit includes Oceanography and Mechanical Engineering projects, such as a student-built wind turbine for the Collegiate Wind Competition, prosthetic arm prototype, and underwater remotely operated vehicle. Faculty and students will be onsite to answer your questions about the projects and Cal Maritime.

Students must function as a team to not only design, build, test, promote, and compete with their vehicle, but then do so with a series of constraints in place.

ROB is the first droid with all Mac hardware. Using only Apple sdk's and api's I am able to create magic between components. Thanks to the new networking.framework, I am able to auto connect with bonjour services between my droid, the controllers, and even other bots. I wanted to make the simplest and most affordable Droid, I wanted to bring all of our imaginations to life and I wanted to push the boundaries of technology just a bit further and beyond reach. ROB is a Droid with toddler level neural network intelligence. His chat server was built with a python CakeChat neural emotion engine which gives him lots of interesting things to say! R.O.B. runs on OSX and has LiFePO4 80 Ah batteries for hours mobility with the finest BLDC motors that Shenzhen, China has to offer.
