Therefore, it was decided to design two devices that would allow an early diagnosis of a possible heart attack in progress and the presence of breast lumps. The device’s aim is to be a proposal for change for the development of territorial assistance in the National Health System. The "house", our home, becomes the first place of treatment, where we provide for an early diagnosis of certain pathologies. The first device function is to analyze the possible symptoms of a heart attack in progress. The second allows constant and autonomous cancer screening.

TrueBees is a blockchain-based system able to guarantee that a given visual content shared on social media is trustworthy, in the sense that it has not been synthetically generated by AI. TrueBees provides an answer to the questions: Should I trust this image? Should I reshare/publish it? Is the identity depicted in this image a real person? For detecting possible deepfakes, TrueBees relies upon AI technology developed and fine-tuned by our top-notch researchers. On a reference dataset our system reported an accuracy of 98.05% with images shared on Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram and Twitter.

3D Printer Lending Library

This 3D printer kit was made available through a lending library program that was inspired by the availability of low cost hardware, initial availability of Windows computers, and the notion that people may want to have a trial 3D printer experience before making their own investment. The essence of this program is that a package containing everything needed to initially explore 3D printing can be borrowed for a period of time. The 3D printer being used in this program is the EasyThreeD Model X1. This 3D printer uses PLA filament and has a working volume of about a 4” cube. We will be brining one or two 3D Printers and several 3D Pens.

Every year in the field of food packaging synthetic additives are used for the development of plastic packaging, whose deleterious impact they have on the marine ecosystem and on human health is now known. LIGNOPACK is proposed as a natural alternative to the current toxic additives being composed of natural substances: lignin and chitosan. The union of these two biopolymers as nanoparticles has allowed the development of a completely natural additive that can be used in food packaging, with great advantages in terms of sustainability, performance and cost-effectiveness. “LIGNOPACK represents a biotechnological innovation aimed at the circular bioeconomy''.

Virtual tours in European capitals

Students created virtual tours of some historical objects or places in European capitals. The project consists of 3d objects and a virtual tour. 3D objects have QR codes to access virtual tours. The online environment CoSpaces was used for the virtual tour, and the SketchUp environment was used for 3D objects. The Istreetview.com environment and the Street View Download 360 program were used to create 3D images. The virtual tour can be viewed with VR glasses, smart devices and on a computer.

In this way, through process and product innovation, a critical point, such as the disposal of by-products and waste from the olive supply chain, will be transformed into a strength. The support activity for this pilot project is financed by sub-measure 16.2.1 of the RDP Lazio 2014-2020 within the framework of Regulation (EU) No 1305/2013 and subsequent amendments and integrations.
