Space Hunters

To this day, children are increasingly inclined to play in the virtual world. We want to bring back the backyard games belonging to the last generation, such as treasure hunting, through a product that belongs to the virtual imagination: controllers set in space. The game consists of two controllers: one in the hands of the commander and one in the hands of the seeker. The commander will have to hide the three aliens, located in the seeker's controller, and then click the arrows on his controller, to give directions to the seeker. Once the directions are sent, they will be immediately received by the seeker, who will follow the arrows to find the aliens and collect them in his controller.

Elaisian offers a precision agriculture service to prevent diseases in olive groves, vineyards, and almond orchards and to have a continuous decision support system (SSD) for field interventions. The service is based on SSDs related to pest management and SSDs related to satellite imagery (for all crops). This enables farmers to reduce phytosanitary treatments and optimize fertilization and irrigation. Elaisian offers the installation of weather stations in the field connected to an app where notifications and alerts on pathogen development are sent. We have different types of services that allow us to give accessibility to farms of all sizes and therefore with different economic possibilities. The following sections are available in the app: 5-day weather forecast, self-set alerts (weather parameter, value range, message sending interval), notifications (non-severe messages on plant and pathogen development), alerts (threshold severity messages), field notebook (linked to algorithms), map and reports from satellite images. The pathogen forecasting service is applied for olive groves, vineyards and almond orchards. Through the use of proprietary algorithms we are able to calculate the development of pathogens and plants, which, when correlated, allow us to calculate the infection rate of pathogens with high accuracy. We also use satellite images to calculate vegetation and water indices that are useful for monitoring soils and always have a control for optimizing fertilization and irrigation.

"Games Bond" is a multimedia experience of the "serious game" type whose objective is to raise user awareness of the security issues we face on a daily basis. The game was produced using the "Unity3D" game engine with which three-dimensional environments were created and structured, then integrating diegetic, spatial and non-diegetic graphic interfaces to allow fluid and functional use of the environments. The three-dimensional models were modeled and animated with Maya and Blender and textured in Adobe Substance Painter. Each room has been studied both from a topological and luminous point of view in order to guide the player towards a specific security criticality to analyse; the character's first-person view allows for an easy visit to the environments. Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers in the male population and represents about 20% of all cancers diagnosed in men. Estimates in Italy speak of around 35,000 new cases a year, but the risk of the disease having an unfortunate outcome is low, especially if intervention is made in the initial stages. The system that we intend to present at Maker Faire Rome 2023, developed as part of the project 'BARTOLO - Sviluppo ed applicazione di nuove tecnologie robotiche per la diagnosi bioptica del tumore prostatico’ finanziato dalla Regione Campania (POR CAMPANIA FESR 2014/2020), consists in a miniaturized probe, based on optical fiber technology and integrated inside a medical needle, capable of measuring the elastic consistency of biological tissues with high spatial resolution (the fiber sensor in fact has a diameter of less than a millimetre), for the diagnosis of prostate cancer.

This project is a platform to learn, develop and test autonomous mobile car on a little scale. The idea is to build an ecosystem based on ROS 2, microROS and PX4, which allows to create an autonomous rover based on a car-like robot. It is capable of creating maps of the environment, detect objects in real-time and understand the surrounding environment. RoadRunner rover software can be used for simulation and also to discover how autonomous cars are built.
