ECOLUV: Sun protection as plants teach us

ECOLUV is a multifunctional natural cosmetic ingredient, composed of micro and nano particles of lignin which are produced through an eco-sustainable and scalable procedure. This has allowed the real circular valorisation of lignin, usually discarded by paper mills or biorefineries. ECOLUV is the alternative to: i) traditional synthetic UV filters known as pollutants and toxicity; ii) often recalcitrant synthetic chelators; iii) compounds with antioxidant activity; iii) antimicrobial preservatives iv) emulsion stabilizer. ECOLUV is a mature product, provided with certifications, technical and safety data sheets, and therefore ready for marketing.

Toen Maker Gino een plastische hobby zocht, kwam hij als zoon van een schrijnwerker snel uit bij hout. Aanvankelijk houtsnijden, later gecombineerd met houtdraaiwerk en het maken van kleine ornamentele meubels. Maker Ruben begon met het boetseren van beeldjes in klei. Daarbij maakte hij mallen van hout, Vandaar ging het over een mini draaibank naar houtsnijden. Het resultaat: houten diertjes, paddenstoelen en andere handige of kunstige voorwerpen zoals prachtige vazen, schalen en veel meer.
