Large chunks of resin, sourced from a local surfboard shaper, are cut into small blanks, which are then put on the lathe and turned into bangles, hoops, beads, and more. The material and way each design is handcrafted means no two pieces are ever the same. As a long-time surfer, using recycle surfboard resin to create unique pieces of wearable art for other water-loving women is a joy and privilege.

SAFE VR will allow you to navigate in an inclusive Metaverse session accessible to all. Through a demo created on Spacial, users will be able to enter a dimension of Augmented Reality not only through the Oculus, but also from PC and/or mobile. Here four tools designed and created ad hoc (high contrast QR, illuminated walking strip, dixlexia free texts, audio) will allow easier navigation for subjects who are not inclined to use new technologies, as well as for visually impaired subjects or with difficulties related to example for dyslexia.

MusicHArt – L’esperienza nella musica visiva

The MusicHArt project was started in 2018 by the innovative start-up B.P.S. and its evolved version was launched in 2022 after years of experimentation. In the team Gianmarco Merlini represents the creator. It is inspired by research carried out in the field of synesthesia between music and color to allow artists and composers to transform their musical works into forms of abstract art through software that analyzes the melody and reproduces its relative abstract design. The result is a digital abstract canvas as well as the audio-video recording of the creation of the work.

Spoon Regeneration Station

This spoon-centered art installation is constructed using a 10’x10’ pop-up canopy as a base. All four sides are hung with partially see-through “curtains” made from 1400+ metal spoons of various sizes attached with jump rings and interwoven with aluminum wire. One side has an opening in the middle of its “curtain” as a doorway into the space. Inside, visitors find a simple wooden bench and several camp chairs upon which to sit, rest, and contemplate spoonish things. A spoon chandelier with battery-operated candles hangs from the ceiling peak. A small table in the corner holds an interactive “spoon journal” with an explanation of Spoon Theory and the Spoon Regeneration Station project along with prompts for people to respond to with their own thoughts and stories about spoon regeneration.
