Schac Attack’s “Palace of Novelty”

Maker Faire Bay Area 2023

October 13th-22nd

Maker Costumes & CosplayRibbon Recipient

Part storefront, part immersive museum installation, “Schac Attack’s Palace of Novelty” invites you to take a look behind the curtain of Jen Schachter’s creative process — from design and prototyping, through finished product!

Sketchbook pages come to life as foam-core models, which evolve into dioramas of miniature worlds, enticing prop slices of fake cake, or the towering EVA foam wig that was featured on the latest issue of Make!

Come meet the artist, pick up your own diorama kit to build at home, and get an up-close look at how all these “novelties” are made.
