The Elements of Welding Better

Maker Faire Bay Area 2023

October 13th-22nd

Presenter Education

Whether you’ve only considered picking up a torch or have been welding nearly every day for several years, there is always a way to get better at welding. But there is so much information out there, and even more opinions, so where to start? Join us on a myth-busting journey to identify and prioritize what to look for in a weld and troubleshoot solutions when you need them. We’ll explore the basics of Visual Inspection, the criticality of fit-up, identifying discontinuities vs defects, the correction of settings, and of course a healthy dose of Q&A. All skill levels welcome!
