The Didi Jewelry Project
Maker Faire Bay Area 2023
October 13th-22nd
I sell unique jewelry made by women afflicted by HIV/AIDS and poverty in India. I have partnered with an NGO in Dew Delhi, India and have taught a group of 15 women to make jewelry. I design all the pieces and then teach the ladies I work with in India how to make each design. We then sell the jewelry to help them create the lives they deserve. Our goal is to give them a sustainable income and to help them gain confidence. We are designed locally, yet by purchasing our jewelry buyers are helping women in India, this fact sets us apart and creates a unique purchasing opportunity for customers.
