Amateur Radio Ballooning in the SF Bay Area.

Maker Faire Bay Area 2023

October 13th-22nd

Maker & Presenter Space

We launch pico-balloons on weekends when possible and usually have something in the air at all times. Pico-balloons fly above 40,0000

We experiment with new technology and fly new things all the time. We developed a Raspberry PI RP2040 based for our adventures. We use several radio networks to track our balloons around the planet. We are planning more advanced flight using more technology.

SF-HAB

We are a ballooning club with an amateur radio. We fly pico balloons and high altitude balloons to reach the edge of space on a beer budget. We fly all sorts of payloads and try to get others interested and involved in learning more.
