"He Who Inspires Youth, Inspires the Future" When I was 11 I became fascinated about melting metal. I took the metals program in middle school and I quickly was drawn into welding during high school. I had asked about the ability to do foundry but unfortunately wasn't part of the curriculum. After high school I still had the interest burning inside me. I built my first foundry with back yard scientists mini metal foundry and started casting anthills. From there I supersized my effort and began doing public displays (Makerfaire!). From there I became interested in all aspects of metalworking, blacksmithing, sheet metal art, chainmail, medieval bloomery you name it! Makerfaire has inspired me to get my Bachelor of Education and fund/promote makerspaces within schools. This will be my 4th Makerfaire!
