This 10k person amateur community runs autonomous car races around the world, using AI, computer vision, and software used in full-size self-driving cars to explore speed, aggressive maneuvering, and race tactics in the real world. In this talk, we'll show you what we do and how you can do it, too.

I'm the CEO of 3DR, founder and chairman of the Linux Foundation's Dronecode Project, and founder of the DIY Drones and DIY Robocars communities, including the ArduPilot autopilot project. From 2001 through 2012 I was the Editor in Chief of Wired Magazine. Before Wired I was with The Economist for seven years in London, Hong Kong and New York. Father of five.

Adam Conway
Adam is VP of Product Management at Databrickl by day, but by night makes works on Donkey Car, a massively successful open source project. Adam helps organize the DIYRobocars Races in Oakland with Chris Anderson and Will Roscoe. Previously Adam helped found Aerohive a now publicly traded WiFi company.
