This talk explores exciting new music technologies with strange and beautiful creations made by Helen and other artists in Berlin and London. Expect gesture controlled instruments, cello performances bounced off the moon, live coding rave culture and singing capacitive touch circuit sculptures.

Helen Leigh

Helen Leigh is an author, inventor, educator and electronics nerd. She developed a DIY gesture sensing musical instrument for children for MI·MU and Imogen Heap, and her recent book, The Crafty Kid’s Guide to DIY Electronics, was called “impossible not to love” by BBC Click. Helen lectures on physical computing and music tech in London and lives in Berlin.
