The Marin Makerspace, located in Novato, is a creative space for learning, encouraging tinkering, play and open-ended exploration for all. We offer out-of-school learning experiences, field trips, private workshops, and youth jobs.

What inspired you to make this project?:
This project was developed for a 5th grade field trip where students were learning about bio-diversity. As students learned about genetic variations and environmental factors that have shaped evolution, they began building their own creatures adding various accessories depending on the environment their creature lived in. By the end of the field trip, each student had created a unique creature with just as unique an origin story and abilities.
