Hiroaki Suzuki is a Japanese hardware engineer and maker. His project's feature is that one dollar shop's items are used.He is now interested in soft robotics,especially artificial muscles.
"Front Crystal Skeleton Robot" is a life-sized rod puppet skeleton. This skeleton walks through the venue, dances, and plays with you. If you look at him, please give high five.This year's model evolved from paper to a translucent crystal skeleton.
What inspired you to make this project?:
I was inspired by "Bunraku". Bunraku is a traditional Japanese puppet theatre started in the 16th century.
Puppeteers control the puppet by using rods.
This technology is also used in modern VFX movies.
For example, C-3PO was took using rod puppet technic at STAR WARS Episode 1 (1999) .
