GGLS was founded in 1936 and moved to its current location in Tilden Park in 1975. Through the years, the club provided a unique playground for its members to practice the art of model engineering and run steam powered trains. All board!
The Golden Gate Live Steamers is paying a tribute to the steam era of rail transport through functioning scale models. Come and take a look at the result of dedicated craftsmanship and our love for railroading. All aboard!
What inspired you to make this project?:
This project has double benefit: for the members, practice machining engineering skills; for the public to get scenic rides around the track.
