Roasting the world's freshest coffee at home is easy, inexpensive and fun. Sweet Maria's will show you how with a popcorn popper and a few items you already have in your kitchen.

What inspired you to begin investigating your topic or inspired you to make your project?:
Sweet Maria’s Coffee started in a dimly-lit basement Columbus, Ohio in late 1997. Coffee options weren't great at the time, so Thompson (Sweet Maria's co-owner) wanted to offer green coffee to folks with the same interest as him...roasting their own coffee at home. Armed with some html and coffee knowledge, he built a website and began selling green coffee online.

20 years later, Sweet Maria's finds itself located in Oakland, CA with a warehouse full of coffee, a retail space and an amazing staff.
