The solar trailer charges the battery of the electric assist bicycle, extending the daily range to 100+ miles for long-distance bike touring. Light sensors and a motorized tilt mechanism adjust the panel while moving so it is always facing the sun.

Mark was inspired to start making solar powered electric assist bicycles while climbing the steep, sun-drenched hills of Italy on a fully loading touring bike. He has been building and riding solar ebikes ever since that hot September day in 2006.
