David Pescovitz of Boing Boing and Institute for the Future presents the Voyager Golden Record, the iconic time capsule launched by NASA in 1977. Pescovitz, Tim Daly, and Lawrence Azerrad won a 2018 Grammy for their first-ever vinyl release of this stunning message for extraterrestrials.

David Pescovitz

David Pescovitz is the Grammy-winning co-producer of the Voyager Golden Record: 40th Anniversary Edition, a lavish vinyl box set documenting the iconic message for extraterrestrials launched by NASA in 1977. Pescovitz is also a research director at Institute for the Future and co-editor/partner at Boing Boing. He's written about science, culture, and art for Wired, the New York Times, and MAKE.
