Junfeng Jeff Ding

Jeff Ding got his bachelor degree from Southeast University Department of Architecture and Master degree from Harvard University with focus on digital fabrication. in September 2013, Professor Ding Junfeng set up the first Fablab in China. He also developed the FABO X and FABO playground STEAM education platform and system in college, high schools and middle schools; Mr. Ding is actively involved interdisciplinary digital fabrication projects and researches.

Kevin Lau Maker Picture

Kevin Lau

Kevin is the former VP at SeeedStudio and CEO at Chaihuo Makerspace which is the first Makerspace in Shenzhen.He is the founding producer of Maker Faire Shenzhen,Maker Faire Xi’an, Hangzhou mini Maker Faire and keep spreading Maker Faire in more cities in China.In 2015,He met Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and invited him as one of the maker.In 2017,he founded MakerNet which is a community based platform filled with Global Maker Culture. Kevin is keen to share the maker culture and skills with young Chinese, while encouraging and guiding them to repay the society, bring people closer and mitigate unfair allocation of educational resources by leveraging on technologies. He advocates for maker as a lifestyle and an inspiration to the next young generation for technical innovation, motivating young people surrounded by the virtual network to shape the future with their own hands.

Violet Su

​Violet Su is one of the core organizers of Maker Faire Shenzhen. Having joined Seeed in 2012, Violet currently serves as Community Manager, in charge of creating partnerships and programs for hardware development. She has been very actively spreading maker culture and building the maker community in China, as well as acting as a liaison between Chinese and international maker communities. Violet has a passion for language, culture, education and initiating collaborations across sectors.

Yan Zhang

Yan got a master degree in HR & Industrial Relations from Univ. of IL and a master degree in Library and Information Science from Peking Univ.. She loves to join the Maker Faires in the Bay Area and China. Maker Faire Bay Area 2016 inspired her to launch a Maker Faire in Hangzhou, China. She is proud to be a lead producer of a mini Maker Faire and enjoys teaching and organizing STEAM classes at her maker space in the South Bay.
