Chabot Space & Science Center's Mars Adventure summer camp is a shift towards an inquiry-based learning model focusing on open-ended, hands-on STEAM projects. This immersive camp allows campers to explore space through activities such as habitat building, Mars lander building, and cratering art.

Julia DeMarines

Julia is an Astrobiologist by training and science instructor at Chabot Space & Science Center. She is also visiting scientist at the Berkeley SETI Research Center and a 2018 National Geographic Grosvenor Teacher Fellow. She holds a B.S. degree in Astronomy from the University of Colorado and an M.Sc. in Space Studies from the International Space University.
