MICRO: Designing Science Museums for Everyone

Maker Faire Bay Area 2018

May 18th-20th

Presentation Education

MICRO is building a fleet of 6-ft-tall science museums installed in public spaces like transit hubs and hospital waiting rooms. How do you design a museum without walls? That is always free to visit? How do you create science content everyone can engage with, from a physics Ph.D. to a 10-year-old? Join MICRO’s Head of Content Ruby J Murray and Head of Product Louisa Bukiet for a conversation about what it means to build structures and design educational content that goes beyond the walls of the traditional museum.
