What inspired you to begin investigating your topic or inspired you to make your project?:
Techbridge Girls, a nonprofit that started in the Bay Area almost 18 years ago, excites, educates, and equips girls from low-income communities by delivering high quality STEM programming that empowers a girl to achieve economic mobility and better life chances. Over the years, we have reached over 6,000 girls, igniting their interest in STEM and inspiring many to pursue it as a career. As the need for supportive and holistic STEM communities continues to grow, having a conversation with past and present Techbridge girls, to understand why girl-centered spaces are thriving, gives us as a community an opportunity to be a stronger partner to our youth and helps us boldly shape the future landscape of making.
