Roy is founder of Perkūnas Studio, an expert on 3D printing. Roy was an artist who’s passionate on tinkering. He got to know about 3Dprint in 2011, then he taught himself how to master the machine, he is the most renowned 3DP expert in Taiwan.
The works are from his observation of real creature's structure. Roy uses 3D printing to print out parts piece by piece as mold for casting metal parts. Each work parts are assembled by bolts an nuts, and become moveable real creatures.
What inspired you to make this project?:
I am a maker at heart and an expert on digital fabrication. Deep down in my heart I enjoy turning my imagination into working mechanism for fun.
