Alan Yates’ day job is making VR tracking systems, he invented "Lighthouse" the technology behind Steam VR tracking and the HTC Vive. Mostly an electrical engineer, but tends to wear many hats in multidisciplinary teams at Valve Corporation. On the weekends he tries to put aside a bit of time for other geeky projects, especially RF and interesting applications of mathematics and engineering.
