Barry Crawford lives in Elko Nevada building gizmos and gadgets of all kinds, mostly out of metal.
Mechateuthis is a mechanical giant squid powered by 8 digitally controlled electric motors. By turning cranks on the perimeter fence you can control the squids arms, tentacles, beak, eyes, and more.
What inspired you to make this project?:
Burning Man mostly. My wife suggested the subject matter, and I really liked the arm design I came up with.
