Sydney, owner of Barking Zebra Designs, creates handmade jewelry and accessories out of recycled, repurposed, and otherwise unconventional materials. Her goal when creating new pieces is to use objects that aren't normally used in jewelry making.
Sydney Dean
Sydney is a student in her final year at SFSU, studying Business Administration with a focus in Marketing, and Graphic Design. At 16, rather than working the normal retail job, she decided to go against the norm and do something she actually felt passionate about. In her senior year of high school she began Barking Zebra Designs, and continues to grow her small business through pop-ups around the Bay Area, as well as on Etsy.
San Francisco Bazaar Showcase Maker
Each year San Francisco Bazaar features hundreds of juried artists and designers. Shoppers can expect to find the crème de la crème of indie goods: handbags, pottery, letterpress stationary, silk-screened t-shirts, baby clothes, zines, posters, body products and more!
