Mountainside focuses on reusing materials through creative reconstruction. Each piece is handmade by Amber Duncan using a mixture of metal work, repurposing vintage jewelry, and the ancient ancient technique of lost wax casting.

From flea markets to antique shops, Amber slowly gathers vintage beads, stones, gems, chains, metal scraps, buttons, thimbles, lace, and leather, which are then carefully cleaned, drilled, hammered, cut, soldered, or reshaped. She is fascinated with the stories behind discarded objects, the unknown past uses and sentimentality. For each piece, a new story begins.

Each year San Francisco Bazaar features hundreds of juried artists and designers. Shoppers can expect to find the crème de la crème of indie goods: handbags, pottery, letterpress stationary, silk-screened t-shirts, baby clothes, zines, posters, body products and more!
