Founded in 2007 by award-winning designer Yaling Hou Suzuki, Flowie brings sweet and refreshing style to bags and accessory products, many featuring original textile designs. All products are handmade in Flowie's California studio.
Yaling Hou Suzuki
Born and raised in Taiwan, Yaling Hou Suzuki loved to draw and sew from an early age. She moved to San Francisco to study design when she was 21. She chose textile design because it allowed her to combine her love for graphic design and fashion. Yaling earned her BFA in Applied Textiles from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 2007. She was named grand prize winner in the SURTEX 2007 International Student Design Competition and formed the Flowie lifestyle company in the same year.
