Jon Co
Jon is a Linux Engineer at a large retail management software vendor in Australia. He has been a hardware hacker for the past twenty years and maintains a blog at http://damntechnology.blogspot.com.au.
Manila Gear designs and builds peripherals for vintage computing platforms. From sound cards to video adapters for the Apple IIGS, to no slot clock boards for the Apple II, we make 30 year old hardware new again.
What inspired you to make this project?:
We wanted to see what cool stuff we could make for the Apple II, and folks started telling us that they wanted one too! We always try to bake in engineering goodness and practicality into every product we design. Half the fun is in solving all the problems that this approach creates; the other half is seeing other Apple II enthusiasts enjoy using our products on their machines.
