Bringing making into schools is a worthy endeavor that will transform K-12 education. Sixteen year old Quin Etnyre, founder of Qtechknow, will discuss how he got started in making, helped introduce it to the Lucia Mar School District and some challenges along the way.

Sixteen-year-old CEO, Quin Etnyre of Qtechknow, started making six years ago, teaching himself embedded electronics. He loves teaching Arduino classes, has published 27 Instructables, and has presented at Maker Faires around the world. He has been featured in Make: Magazine and Popular Science, and ran a successful Kickstarter last year with his Qduino Mini, a tiny, Arduino-compatible board.
