Inspired by motor-driven 3D zoetropes created by Pixar and others, this portable, 3D-printed, hand-powered 3D zoetrope features magnetic bearings, an infrared feedback loop for precise timing, and a modular design for interchanging animated models.

I am a software engineer specializing in 3D computer graphics. I like building interesting projects in my spare time. This is my first entry in Maker Faire, although I have participated with my sons in the past as part of the Young Makers program.
