MATLAB Analysis for Internet of Things and Hardware Projects

World Maker Faire 2016

October 1st-2nd

Presentation Microcontrollers

Makers today build complex projects that require sophisticated algorithms and can accumulate masses of data. We’ll look at projects that use MATLAB and ThingSpeak in a variety of ways to add extra complexity: an IoT tide gauge, a weather station, a squirrel café, a 3D scanner, and more.

Dan Seal

Dan Seal wants to make it easy for makers to get access to MATLAB and Simulink and start using them for hardware projects. He manages the MathWorks makerspace and Maker Faire sponsorship programs around the world. He’s also the product manager for MATLAB hardware support, building tools that help makers easily connect MATLAB to Arduino and Raspberry Pi without having to learn advanced programming.
