Many Internet of Things devices are on the market and in our homes today. These devices connect to the Internet and our smartphones, and offer enhanced functionality, but sometimes introduce vulnerabilities into our homes. This presentation explores defenses against many of these vulnerabilities.

An avid maker and tech enthusiast, I am a high school student who enjoys learning new things, especially in science, engineering, math and anything having to do with technology. I collect and restore old computers and and re-purpose various electronic devices and love learning about the evolution of hardware and software. Recently, I have been working on securing IoT devices as a research project.
