Long-time Make: stalwart Gareth Branwyn sits down with three of his favorite makers, Jimmy DiResta and Mark Frauenfelder, to discuss their favorite shop tips and to tell stories about their shops, projects that went right, wrong, and the ones that got away.
Gareth Branwyn
Gareth Branwyn has been a contributor to Make: since its inception and is the former Editorial Director of Maker Media. He has written or edited over a dozen books, including writing the first book about the Web (Mosaic Quick Tour), Happy Mutant Handbook (with the editors of Boing Boing), and editing Best of Make:. He is currently writing "Top Tips and Shop Tales" for Maker Media.

Mark Frauenfelder is founding editor-in-chief of Make:, the founder of Boing Boing (boingboing.net), and editor-in-chief of Cool-Tools.org. He was an editor at Wired from 1993-1998, the founding editor of Wired.com, and is the author of 7 books. He's currently a research director at Institute for the Future. His latest book is Maker Dad.

Jimmy DiResta is a designer and master maker known for his ability to fabricate in an impressive array of materials. He's starred on a number of cable shows, including Hammered with John & Jimmy DiResta (HGTV), Trash to Cash (FX Network), and Dirty Money (Discovery). Jimmy's currently a well-known maker star on YouTube where he creates regular videos for Make:, Core77, and his own DiResta channel.
