In 2009, MXM Jewelry & Design was founded in Oakland, CA by Peizhu, a graphic designer, and her partner Derek, a metalsmith & jewelry designer, with their signature collections of Handfolded Pinwheel & Handfolded Paper Airplane. Their work and craftsmanship strive to reflect the harmony of nature's beauty. In 2014, MXM's first storefront/studio opened in Berkeley, CA
