A walk through the process of bringing Forrest Mims' classic drawn circuit designs to life. This talk will cover both the art of building hardware true to the vision of his books, and the practical aspects of creating a strong aesthetic and bringing graphics into the hardware world.

A hardware builder from an early age, Star has deep experience building beautiful circuit boards. Her past work includes information graphic design for a business-card sized circuit board using over 10 colors to depict the most compact form of the resistor color-code chart made for Octopart, which is widely carried and popular with electronics designers today.
