Monopoly : Larger Than Life

Play on a life size Monopoly Board! Roll the dice and move your piece to be the first to cross "GO". The game board was designed, laser cut and finished by a small team of kids from San Jose, CA.

What inspired you to make this project?:
San Jose is home to the World's Largest Monopoly Board. I pass it each time I drive to the TechShop to work. It is beautiful and funky and I love that it is there, but I never see anyone playing on it. The MakerSoul club decided to make a large scale set of Monopoly pieces that are oversized and fun to play with, but can still collapse down to fit in the trunk of a car.
