As both a teacher and a graduate student I have spent the past four years developing a MakerSpace at High Tech High in San Diego, and exploring how this space can be used as a tool to engage students in deeper learning. I will discuss this process and what I have I have learned along the way.

As both a graduate student and teacher, Kyle has spent the last four years developing and managing a MakerSpace at High Tech High in San Diego. An avid maker at heart, Kyle has spent this time training teachers how to incorporate Making into their own classroom and exploring the impact this can have on student engagement in deeper learning.
