#RobotGirls: 5 & 8 Year Old Girls Build the Worlds Best Girl Robot

At the 2015 Maker Faire, two young girls (4 & 7) discovered the world of robots. A year later, #RobotGirls present, show pictures, and take questions about what inspired them to build "Crystal" the Meccano MeccaNoid G15. The story is an inspiration to girls (and boys) everywhere!

Presenters are 8 & 5 year #RobotGirls (names withheld for minor confidentiality). After their first MakerFaire in 2015, the two sisters and their friends were inspired to build a number of Tamiya and then Meccanoid robots. In addition to their interest in robots, they also love 3D printing, Scratch, and animals. The girls are currently in pre-school and 2nd grade.

Iron.io is cloud infrastructure company that enables developers to build job and batch processing applications using containers and no servers! Bart has an electrical engineering and computer science degree from Cornell University.
