Fresh From the Garden Ice Cream

In this demo, the Master Food Preservers will show you how to make your own ice cream using fresh fruit & herbs from the garden. We'll talk about food preservation & safety topics as we churn up a Fresh Mint Ice Cream, Berry Sorbet, or whatever else looks good and fresh at Faire time!

Master Food Preservers are volunteer agents of the University of California Cooperative Extension. They are available to educate the community on the safe practices of food preservation, including pickling, fermenting, freezing, dehydrating and making jams/jellies, cheeses, sausages, and much more.
