What inspired you to make this project?:
I have always enjoyed colored and flashing lights.
Long ago a friend's parents who liked to craft described making 'cup balls'.
My first attempt was a minor disaster.
Years later I found great instructions on the web.
I have since made myself and helped others make over a dozen Sparkle Balls.
