Chris Hannemann
Chris Hannemann was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 8; his sister also has type 1 while his father has type 2. He got involved with OpenAPS in early 2015 and has been using his DIY artificial pancreas for nearly a year. Chris has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and an MS in the same from U.C. Berkeley, and he has worked on energy technologies at Alphabet Energy and eSolar.

Nate Racklyeft was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 8; his sister and grandfather have also had the disease. He got involved with OpenAPS in early 2015 and has been using his DIY artificial pancreas for nearly a year. Nate has a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Michigan, and works as a software engineer at Chairish.
