J Claire Dean is a professional art conservator, amateur dog musher and maker, based in Portland Oregon. She is also a member of the Portland art collective and maker space, Flat Rat Studios.
A sled dog's dream - a pup gets to turn the table (or the sled) on human kind. A bike powered sled pulled by people and driven by a dog.
What inspired you to make this project?:
Years of having dogs pull me around the arctic and the most northerly parts of America - it was time the tables were turned. Plus this gave me the chance to work with lots of other makers in order to create DOOP as I envisioned he should be.
