Autonomous Soccer Robot Players from RoboCup

Three teams, from Sapienza University of Rome, Leipzig University of Applied Sciences, and Eindhoven University of Technology, will have a tournament of Autonomous Humanoid Soccer Robot Players following the Official Rules of the RoboCup competition. The aim of the competition is to promote robotics and AI research by offering a publicly appealing – but formidable – challenge, with the goal of having in 2050 a team of fully autonomous humanoid robot soccer competing against the FIFA Human World Champions.
