Marconi Rov Explorer (MRE)
MRE is a system based on IoT and AI technologies, which, thanks to sensors and a CONTROLLER, monitors Posidonia Oceanica and micro/macro plastics; it consists of a hull designed by us and characterized by two 10 mm FOREX panels, 20x20 mm V-shaped extruded aluminum profile spacers, 6 brushless motors and a control system The ROV has been designed to ensure positive buoyancy that allows it to move freely in the water and return to the surface in the event of a failure of the power unit or the thrusters even without resorting to the emergency recovery system consisting of the umbilical cord.

Da tempo il nostro Istituto, con attività di Project Learning e ricorrendo ad un ambiente di azienda simulata, affronta problemi di sostenibilità, robotica umanoide ed industriale, sviluppo di sistemi embedded con tecnologie emergenti (AI, IoT e Computer Vision). La nostra esperienza è iniziata dalla prima classe con ARDUINO e proseguita al triennio con la realizzazione di sistemi embedded complessi, basati su piattaforma NUCLEO ST e Raspberry. Lo scorso anno abbiamo realizzato il sistema SSFWM per il monitoraggio e la classificazione di ciò che viene sversato nelle pattumiere delle cucine.
