Maker Faire Pioneer Valley 2023

Sopris Pottery

Home: Massachusetts, United States

I am an independent potter based in Northampton at the Smith College Ceramics studio. My pottery style reflects my experience growing up and learning wheel-throwing in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. I will be exhibiting and selling decorative and functional vessels at the Maker Faire such as teapots, bowls, and vases.

I started learning pottery in Aspen, Colorado 3 years ago and have continued with my passion ever since. I spent my time at Smith College as the Head of Teachers in the Ceramics Club where I organized and taught beginner and intermediate classes while my own pottery skill and style continued to grow. During this past summer, I taught at the Carbondale Clay Center teaching a wide variety and age range of students as well as continuing to develop my wheel-throwing abilities. I am excited to exhibit and sell the work I have created while based in the Pioneer Valley.
